Annual inflation in the UK continued to rise and rose last month to 7% from 6.2% in the preceding month (February 2022), according to data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Thus, the inflation index has recorded new historical levels, the highest since 1992.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose in March by 1.1%, while prices had risen by 0.8% in February.
