Ugreen Wireless Car Charger test: a smartphone holder with wireless charging

Like other stands with wireless charger, this Ugreen model is equipped with motorized arms. Just put the smartphone on the lower arms so that they automatically clamp it. Capacitive buttons located to the right and left of the support allow it to be released, but it happens to operate them by mistake by entering an address in its GPS, for example.

In addition, this motorized system is certainly practical, but it requires that the ignition be on to operate. You must therefore insert your smartphone following switching on the ignition and remember to remove it before switching it off, otherwise you will have to unfold the arms manually.

Once installed, the maintenance of the smartphone is good and does not cause disconnection with the charger.

It is possible to adjust the lower arms in height to align its terminal with the charger and avoid pressing the side buttons, in the vast majority of cases. The width of the supported smartphones is between regarding 63mm to 86mm, which is quite a wide range. By way of comparison, the widest models at present do not exceed 80 mm, excluding folding smartphones. The smartphone used for the photos is an iPhone 12 Pro Max (78.1 mm wide).
