British studio Strikerz Inc. has announced its decision to delay UFL
The new football game, intended to compete with FIFA and eFootball, was due to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this year, but will eventually release in 2023
The company’s CEO, Eugene Nashilov, explained in a video that “it is not new to say that this game is of immense technological complexity, that it must simulate a whole series of mechanics and techniques of football with realistic animations, world-class players, etc.
“We are announcing today that the game’s release date has been moved to 2023. Many of you had pointed out that this was likely…and you were right. The game is regarding eighty percent ready, and we need more time to finalize development
UFL will adopt the free-to-play model, meaning it will be free to download and will hopefully feature microtransactions in the style of offerings from EA Sports and Konami. Its developers also point out that it has a “fair to play” philosophy, which means that matchmaking always matches you fairly once morest players of a similar level to yours.
Without many details yet on the modes and licenses, what we do know is that the players Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Roberto Firmino and Oleksandr Zinchenko will be the ambassadors in charge of his promotion.
