Following its decision of 28 February 2022 to suspend all Russian teams and clubs in UEFA competitions until further notice, the UEFA Executive Committee today took several decisions resulting from this suspension for the next editions of its competitions, in order to ensure their smooth running in a safe and secure environment for all parties involved.
The Executive Committee decided the following:
UEFA club competitions 2022/23
UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League et UEFA Europa Conference League
- No Russian clubs will participate in the 2022/23 UEFA club competition season. Therefore, the respective club competition access lists masculine have been rebalanced in accordance with the principles defined in the relevant regulations.
- In addition, Russia will be awarded a number of coefficient points equivalent to the lowest number of points obtained in the last five seasons, i.e. 4,333 points for the men’s club association coefficient, and 1,750 points for the men’s club association coefficient. which is the women’s club association coefficient for the 2022/23 season.
The UEFA Executive Committee stands ready to convene further meetings in order to reassess the factual and legal situation as it develops and to take further decisions if necessary.
