UEFA allowed the participants of the 1/4 finals of European competitions to add legionnaires from Russia and Ukraine
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) allowed all participants in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League to register foreign players from the championships of Russia and Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the organization on the official website.
The UEFA Executive Committee made this decision on 21 March. Each team is allowed to enter no more than two players until April 1.
We will remind, earlier FIFA allowed foreign players from the championship of Russia to suspend contracts with their teams unilaterally until the end of the season. The Russian Premier League has already left more than a dozen legionnaires. In Krasnodar, the contracts of all foreign players were suspended. With Remy Cabella and Victor Klasson, they were broken.
