It’s official. UD Las Palmas closed this Friday the signing on loan of Portuguese forward Fabio Silva (19 July 2002), from English side Wolverhampton.
The player is under the orders of Luis Carrión and stands out, according to club reports, for “his quality and stride and his adaptation to all attacking positions, becoming an attacker with a goal and mobility to perform in the offensive phase.”
He was formed at Porto and Benfica, the two giants of Portuguese football, before being transferred to Wolverhampton in the 2020-21 season. In recent seasons he has played on loan at clubs such as RSC Anderlecht, PSV and Rangers FC.
UD Las Palmas reminds us that Silva is an international with Portugal U-21, the new yellow attacker has more than 60 matches in the Premier League, he has also participated in the Eredivisie, Premiership, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, FA CAP, among other competitions, also becoming Champion of Portugal (FC Porto), Champion of the Portuguese Cup (FC Porto), Champion of the Dutch Cup (PSV Eindhoven) and Champion of the UEFA Youth League (FC Porto).
Fábio Silva has been called up by the Portuguese U-21 team for the Euro 2025 qualifier against Croatia, which will be held on 10 September 2024.
The news released about this loan adds that there is no initial purchase option for the player.
