UCLA Welcomes Spanish Basketball Sensation, Aday Mara, to NCAA: An Inside Look at the Rising Star

It’s official, UCLA has just announced the arrival of Aday Mara at its university next season. The young Spanish prodigy with extraordinary measurements leaves Zaragoza for the USA where he will play in the NCAA.

It’s been in the works for some time, it’s now official. Candidate Mara, Spanish interior born in 2005 and with “Wembanyamesque” measurements (2m21), started his American dream by joining UCLA. A raw talent trained on the other side of the Pyrenees, Aday had previously played in Zaragoza in the Liga Endesa where he averaged around ten minutes of playing time.

The 18-year-old didn’t spend his summer in Salou or Lloret Del Mar but on the (slightly slippery) Eurobasket U18 courts, where he led his team to the final before failing in the doors of the continental title once morest the Serbs (71-81). On a personal level, Aday was particularly good on both sides of the field with 14 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2.7 blocks on average in the competition.

In short, a giant with a bright future that will continue to grow in one of the greatest American universities. No doubt regarding the facts that the Bruins will continue to polish this jewel before it perhaps flies away, later, to the Big League.
