After the success of the closed beta with over a million players, Ubisoft San Francisco’s XDefiant is going to get an open beast ahead of launch.
Scheduled for next week (June 21 at 7 p.m. to June 24 at 8 a.m.) on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC via Ubisoft Connect, the open beta of XDefiant will be followed during the summer by the preseason, which is none other than the first phase of the free-to-play FPS.
During the six-week pre-season of XDefiant, players will find factions and maps already present in Insider Sessions as well as the closed beta. Note that DedSec hackers from Watch Dogs will be unlocked to add a touch of novelty to the experience.
Ubisoft Reveals Year One Roadmap for XDefiant
Once the preseason is over, XDefiant will be punctuated by different seasons. Every three months, players will be able to discover new weapons, maps and events, as well as a new faction. Everything will be accompanied by battle passes, cosmetics, game modes, anti-toxicity tools and even tutorials for beginners.
