Ubisoft will deactivate online services for Assassin’s Creed II and a dozen other games

some games of Ubisoft yes they will not have online services and features such as multiplayer mode starting in September this year. During this week the company ad which will disable the online aspect of more than a dozen video games in its catalog that might be considered old titles.

Ubisoft wanted to justify this decision arguing that “Closing online services for some older games allows us to focus our resources on providing great experiences for players playing newer or more popular titles.”

In practice this will mean that players will no longer be able to enter multiplayer, link accounts, or in some cases access DLC, in games like Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and some Assassin’s Creed.

  • Far Cry 3 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
  • Ghost Recon Future Soldier (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
