This year Ubisoft plans to introduce new features to the game Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, the main purpose of which is to increase the comfort when watching the competition. This spring, immediately following the release of Season Seven’s second season, three more observer cells will be added to the user’s online games – four in total. Thanks to this innovation, fans will be able to better navigate and more easily understand what exactly is happening on the screen. In this way, the number of online tournaments should be close to the level of non-networked tournaments.
About the game
A new threat hanging over the world is the White Mask faction. To stop the terrorists, Agent 6 has a clear mission: assemble a squad of the best operatives around the world. The Rainbow Six betting team must be ready at any time to execute an operation around the world and neutralize the threat at any cost.
What improvements to look to
For the seventh year, Ubisoft is planning to add the possibility of installing cameras that allow the player to see the game from the operative’s point of view. The developers want to increase the storage time of replays so that they will be available for watching throughout the season.

Season 2022
Ubisoft is looking forward to the start of the 2022 eSports season, and assures that it is closely monitoring the pandemic situation and is prepared to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of players, fans and team staff. The schedule for the season is as follows:
- Major 1st stage – May 2022: USA;
- Major 2nd stage – August 2022: United Arab Emirates;
- Major 3rd stage – November 2022: Asia.
Six Invitational
Due to the pandemic it has been decided to postpone the Rainbow Six World Cup until 2023. It is unknown where the tournament will be held in 2023, but it is already safe to say that in 2024 it will leave Montreal and be held in different parts of the world on a permanent basis.
R6 SHARE
There will also be changes to the R6 SHARE programme. First of all, the level system will be simplified – only two levels will remain. Getting into the first level of the programme will become easier.
In addition, fans will now have access to a wider range of merchandise dedicated to eSports teams, and the revenue from the sales will be shared on a 50/50 split. Previously, it was split 70/30 in Ubisoft’s favor.
