In an email signed by CEO Yves Guillemot and sent to company employees, Ubisoft announced to its teams that several games in development were canceled in order to “focus talent on projects that have higher priority.” He also said that the company will “limit its expenses and reinvent itself for profit.” This message was sent following presenting the financial report for the first quarter of the fiscal year to its shareholders.

Nothing more and nothing less than Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
This game was supposed to arrive this year to take advantage of the release of the movie Avatar: The Way of Waterbut has been postponed to following March 2023.
According to Guillemot, the postponement of this title is due to the challenges presented in development during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although things are not looking good, not everything in Ubisoft’s financial report was news regarding games being canceled and postponed because they had something to say regarding upcoming titles from Assassin’s Creed.
