Ubisoft cancels Ghost Recon: Frontline, Splinter Cell VR and two other games | Xbox One

Sometimes games are announced but never see the light of day for various reasons. Of course, there is also the case of productions being canceled before the public even knows regarding it. Today we learn that Ubisoft has ended the development of four titles.

Hard blow for two flagship licenses of Ubisoft

The information comes to us straight from our colleagues at VGC who attended an investor meeting. The publisher justifies these cancellations by the evolution of the financial environment, without giving more details.

The first of them is none other than Ghost Recon : Frontline from the Ubisoft Bucharest studio, the Battle Royale which did not really arouse enthusiasm among fans of the Ghost Recon license. Then comes a certain Splinter Cell VR developed by Ubisoft Storm with the support of Reflections, which is therefore missing an opportunity to bring Sam Fisher back in the most original way exclusively on Meta helmets.

Without specifying what it is, Ubisoft has announced that it has ended the development of two unannounced titles. Rest assured, however, since the publisher should lift the veil on new productions during the Ubisoft Forward next September.
