The press service of UAZ, the editors of Rossiyskaya Gazeta, confirmed that we are talking about the modernization of the Patriot, which, along with an updated appearance, will receive a new power unit.
UAZ announced the restyling of the Patriot in August of this year, and the project was launched in September. Then it became known that we are talking not only about a change in appearance, with which the SUV has been sold since 2016, but also about a comprehensive modernization.
As part of the update, the UAZ Patriot will receive a new engine: a two-liter diesel engine with a timing chain drive and a cast-iron cylinder head. The Sollers Argo is equipped with a similar engine, on which the output of the unit is 130 hp. and 285 Nm. Paired with the diesel engine is a 6-speed manual transmission.
