UAT highlights the participation of women in the field of medicine | The US Newspaper

The Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT), through the Faculty of Medicine and Computer Systems Engineering of Matamoros, held the discussion “Successful women, specialists in medicine” in order to highlight the role of women in their He fights for respect and equality, both in society and in his personal development.
The event, which was part of the activities organized for International Women’s Day, included the participation of three recognized doctors in various medical specialties, all graduates of the Matamoros Medical School, who shared their experiences and their professional journey to the female students, teachers and administrative staff of that university unit.
The participants in the dialogue were Dr. Elba Esmeralda Buenrostro Garza, a renowned gynecologist; Dr. Laura Patricia Raya Garza, pediatric surgeon; and Dr. Karla Susana Benavides Lozano, a specialist in radiology, who throughout the talk revealed a little regarding their professional career, as well as the personal sacrifices, the strategies they applied to attend to all areas of their lives and The value of breaking paradigms.
During the conversation, the attendees asked questions to the guests, where it was highlighted that for no reason being a woman interfered in their journey as professionals; that they might hold positions of high responsibility and make decisions within the field of medicine; who knew how to achieve a balance in both their personal and professional lives, encouraging all attendees to have no impediments to become successful women.
At the event, Mr. Pedro Luis Mendoza Múzquiz, director of the Faculty of Medicine and Computer Systems Engineering, thanked the doctors for their participation, recognizing the importance of the role of women in leadership, academic excellence, research, cultural, artistic and sports development, and their merit in the common good.
