74 graduates of the Faculty of Medicine and Computer Systems Engineering of Matamoros receive their certificate of studies

A total of 74 students from the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT) received recognition for the completion of their studies in the Medical Surgeon educational program taught by the Faculty of Medicine and Computer Systems Engineering of Matamoros (FMISCM), corresponding to the generation 2017-2022.

In a ceremony held in person, the Public Health teacher Pedro Luis Mendoza Múzquiz, Director of that Faculty, presided over the graduation and addressed a message on behalf of CP Guillermo Mendoza Cavazos, Rector of the UAT.

He exhorted the recent graduates to enhance the role of medicine with their professional practice, and reminded them that this is just one step of many more, with which they must raise the name of their Faculty and the University very high.

He also recognized the commitment of teachers and students to continue with their professional training in contingency situations, in order to achieve this important achievement that has allowed them to acquire the necessary tools and knowledge to develop within this profession.

After making the traditional roll call, proceeded to read the Hippocratic Oath for each member of the new generation of doctors; Immediately followingwards, the first places of the generation were appointed to those who demonstrated the highest academic performance.

Thus, the medal “Dr. Juan Salazar Reyna”, awarded by the Faculty of Medicine and Computer Systems Engineering, to the first three places that conclude with the highest academic average of his generation.

The first place was obtained by Jesús Alberto Hernández Luna; the second, Gabriela Alejandra González Ramírez, and the third was obtained by Daniela Alejandra Macías González and Gerardo Rosales Vega.

The effort provided by those students who participated as instructors in the different subjects within their own academic preparation was also recognized, as well as the collaboration of the graduates who were part of the Honorable Local Technical Council.

On behalf of the 2017-2022 generation of Medical Surgeons, Jesús Alberto Hernández Luna offered a few words dedicated to his colleagues and a message of gratitude to the relatives for the support provided to achieve his academic training.

The ceremony was attended by Drs. Yolanda Castillo Muraira, Director of the Matamoros Multidisciplinary Academic Unit; of the Dr. Rubén Montalvo Montelongo, dean of the Matamoros Faculty of Medicine; and heads of the secretariats and career coordinations of this academic institution of the UAT.
