UAE’s Public Education Sector Flourishes: 20,000 Students Transfer to Government Schools in Dubai

Dubai: 20,000 students from private schools will transfer to government schools in the new academic year, said Sarah bint Youssef Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology and Chairperson of the Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE).

She was speaking at a press conference in Dubai regarding the new academic year.

Sarah Bint stated that the UAE’s public education sector has become competitive and 14 new schools have opened.

All the preparations in the public schools have been completed to welcome the students in the new academic year. Preparations for the new academic year started six months ago.

School transport services have also been improved under the leadership of the Emirates School Establishment. 4800 schoolbuses serviced with high safety standards in collaboration with service providers. Also 78 new buses were added to the school bus line.

Already 3600 computers have been distributed to the students. About one crore textbooks have been printed.

These will be distributed to public schools across Dubai on the first day of classes.

Two months ago, E.S.E. School uniforms were distributed. The uniforms were provided through over 50 sales outlets across the country and online. 6,00,000 school uniforms distributed through various sales outlets.
