UAE’s Humanitarian Efforts for Gaza: Bringing Cancer Patients and Wounded to Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI: Sixth flight from Gaza with cancer patients and wounded in Israeli attack arrived in Abu Dhabi. There are 61 children and family members in the group who need urgent treatment. Following the proposal of the UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the plan to bring those who need treatment to the country was devised.

The President announced that 1000 injured children and 1000 cancer patients will be brought from Gaza and treated in UAE hospitals. The group was brought to Abu Dhabi through Al Arish Airport in Egypt, which is a nearby area of ​​Gaza. 71 families along with their children reached Abu Dhabi.

The treatment of the five batches of children and other patients who arrived earlier is progressing in various hospitals. The UAE has been implementing various projects to help the people of Gaza since the attack started in October. Already, 14,000 tons of food, medical and relief goods have been delivered to Gaza in 131 flights.

A field hospital and sea water purification plants have been set up in Gaza as part of the charity operation named ‘Gallant Night 3’. A team of nine medical volunteers left for the UAE field hospital the other day. The third batch of people interested in health services arrived in Gaza on Monday.
