UAE shows Russia competitive advantages of country’s industrial sector

The International Industrial Exhibition (Innoprom 2024) event was recently launched in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg, with the UAE participating for the first time as the guest country to strengthen bilateral relations between the UAE and Russia and highlight investment, industrial and business opportunities.

The UAE showcases the competitive advantages of the investment environment in the UAE’s industrial sector and the success stories under the “Made in UAE” initiative, while the latest data from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology shows that the UAE’s industrial sector has achieved significant growth over the past few years and is expected to grow by 2024. At the end of the first quarter of the year, it became the second largest contributor to the UAE’s non-oil GDP, following the retail sector.

Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, led the UAE delegation, which included Sarah bint Yusuf Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, and Amiri, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr. Lee.

The “UAE-Russia Business Forum” was held on the first day of the exhibition, during which Dr. Sultan Al Jaber emphasized joint efforts to strengthen industrial cooperation and trade exchanges, focusing on the supply chain, especially in the most demanding industries, and enhancing competitiveness for a productive industry Partnerships pave the way and this reflects stimulating industrial growth.

On the second day of the exhibition, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin also opened the UAE Pavilion.
