Abu Dhabi: The UAE issued fifty-eight lakh residence visas in the country last year. This was explained by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP). Last year, 34,14,231 new visas were issued. 23.9 lakh visas were renewed. Only 20 lakh new visas were issued in 2021.
Last year, the UAE recorded a huge increase in the issuance of new visas and visa renewals. The ICP believes that the reason for the huge increase in the visa fee is due to the strengthening of digitization. With this, it is pointed out that the opportunity to apply for a visa from anywhere in the world has also led to the issuance of more visas.
