Dubai: The UAE and Israel have reached an agreement to strengthen ties in the economic and tourism sectors. The agreement was signed during a visit to the UAE by Israeli Tourism Minister Joel Ras Vasov. The agreement was reached following talks with Ahmed Al Falasi, chairman of the UAE Emirates Tourism Council and Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, Small and Medium Enterprises. The relationship between the two countries is being strengthened on the basis of the Abraham Agreement signed in September 2020. Officials had earlier said that trade between the two countries had reached $ 700 million a year since the Abraham deal.

Israeli Foreign Minister Ras Vasov, who signed the agreement, said various recent cooperation agreements had marked historic beginnings in relations with the UAE. The agreement will mark the beginning of strong cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism. The two countries will work together on marketing, promotional activities and organizing weddings for travel agents and others in the tourism industry, he added. Special arrangements have been made for business cooperation between the two countries at the Israel Pavilion at the Expo.
