Abu Dhabi: The Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority has arrested two people who tried to enter the UAE illegally. They hid in small two-foot long boxes in a secret compartment placed inside the rear bumper of the SUVs. Last week, an attempt was made to enter the country illegally through the Oman border.

At the rear of the cars, the iron chamber was placed in such a way that it would not be noticed at a glance. The accused were caught during the examination using X-ray scanners. The secret chamber was found above the exhaust pipe of the cars. The serious crime came out during the inspection when human presence was detected during the scan. Officials have released a video of the arrest of the accused through social media. The accused did not have any documents or identity cards with them. Along with them, the drivers of the cars have also been handed over to the concerned departments for further legal action.

Kuwait City: Many expatriates were arrested in Kuwait for violating residency and employment laws. They were nabbed by the Residency Enforcement Officers of Fahaheel, Mahboola, Farwaniya, Al Rai and Hawalli. Expatriates from different countries were arrested.
