His Excellency stressed the need for the international community to take a firm stance on these hostile and terrorist acts that threaten international peace and security, stressing that what the terrorist militias have carried out is a blatant attack, and that the UAE will not hesitate to defend its sovereignty and national security, and it has the legal and moral right to respond and prevent any aggression. on its territory.

For her part, the US State Department’s regional spokeswoman, Geraldine Griffiths, affirmed her country’s support for the UAE in confronting the Houthi attacks. In an interview with “Sky News Arabia”, she said that the United States affirms its preservation of the close security partnership with the countries of the region. She added that the administration of President Joe Biden attaches great importance to the issue of curbing Houthi attacks on neighboring countries, explaining: “We are studying the possibility of returning the Houthis to the list of terrorist organizations, and the United States continues its efforts to hold them accountable for their actions, in conjunction with security and diplomatic efforts, and work to strengthen the capabilities of our partners in Defending themselves once morest the attacks that target them.
Griffiths indicated the United States’ concern over the Houthi escalation, stressing America’s keenness to stop the flow of weapons from Iran to the Houthis. On the other hand, she expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the UAE and Saudi Arabia to bring the Yemeni parties together, and said: “There is an international consensus on the need to end the war in Yemen. The international envoy in charge of this file is going on a tour to discuss options with allies, and to make room for dialogue between the Yemeni parties, because we still believe that the solution must be political.
She stressed America’s seriousness in dealing with the Yemeni file, and said: “America has subjected Houthi leaders to sanctions for their actions once morest civilians and their targeting of neighboring countries.
