His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, said: The sixth day of May is a precious occasion for the hearts of all members of the country, and it is the anniversary of the unification of our armed forces under the leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and his brothers, the first builders of the union. Where the occasion established its existence and gained its position as a pivotal decision in the history of building the state and establishing its union, and a basic pillar for the nation’s renaissance, achieving its future ambition, and continuing its civilized and human achievement.
In a speech to the “National Shield” magazine on the occasion of the “47th” anniversary of the unification of the armed forces, His Highness said: Our armed forces prove every day that they are among the best armies in the region in armaments, training, organization and management, as the leadership of the UAE harnessed all capabilities and resources and unified Efforts to ensure that every individual in the homeland enjoys safety and security, was the shield of the homeland and its impenetrable fortress, and the first line of defense to face all challenges and dangers.
His Highness extended his highest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court, and to Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, and the indigenous people of the Emirates, once once more full confidence in our armed forces, and in the capabilities of its loyal personnel who spare no effort in order to preserve the precious capabilities of the Union and protect the homeland And its borders on land, sea and air.
He expressed his pride in the remarkable achievements of our armed forces in spreading the principles of peace and coexistence, helping the needy and repelling the aggressors’ ambitions, adding: It has become an exceptional model that carries the values of humanity and sacrifice in the world, through its distinguished capabilities that are reflected through the high skills of its members, and the keenness on the continuous development of the system. Its work, and the activation of the latest military technologies that are characterized by quality and standards of high accuracy and efficiency in line with the status of the state, and its regional and global reputation.
He concluded by saying: On this national occasion, we remember the exploits and sacrifices of the nation’s righteous martyrs among the members of our Armed Forces, a beacon of pride and honor, who sacrificed everything in order to defend their homeland and protect it, and they will remain immortal symbols in the history of the Emirates and the hearts of its people, and their sacrifices will remain a lofty humanitarian message to the world. As a whole, the homeland has loyal arms that pledged and believed, and gave their lives cheaply for the land and the homeland to enjoy security and stability.
