The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Ministry said on February 15 that the United Arab Emirates and the United States had agreed to work together once morest extremism and other threats in Middle Eastas well as continue to work to promote the normalization of relations between Arab states and Israel.

Earlier on February 14, UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan had a meeting with his US counterpart Antony Blinken and some members of the US Congress in Washington to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to a statement by the UAE Foreign Ministry, at the meeting, the two sides highlighted their shared commitment to combating extremism and dealing with threats facing the two countries in the Middle East, as well as continuing to continue to work to advance the Abrahamic Agreements.

Top UAE and US diplomats also discussed bilateral cooperation in the areas of security, climate, trade and investment.

The US has started the process of normalizing relations between Israel and the Arab world in 2020. Thanks to the efforts of Washington, Israel, the UAE and Bahrain signed a set of documents called the Abrahamic Peace Agreements in October. September 2020.

In December 2020, Morocco signed a similar agreement with Israel. In January 2021, Sudan also signed the declaration of the Abrahamic Agreement, but has not yet signed the official document with Israel, as the military and civilian leaders in Sudan still disagree on this issue.
