The Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defense announced the arrival of the first UAE aid convoy to the northern Gaza Strip by land, consisting of 17 trucks, as part of Operation Gallant Knight 3.
This is considered the first convoy led by a country to reach the northern Gaza Strip, as it entered from the Rafah crossing yesterday morning to reach the Kerem Shalom crossing before being delivered today to the Palestinian side in the northern Gaza Strip.
This convoy, which comes as part of Operation “Gallant Knight 3,” carried more than 370 tons of aid, including food, medical supplies, and nutritional supplements for children, in addition to various winter clothes, shelter materials, and other necessary needs.
Thus, the volume of relief aid sent by the UAE to northern Gaza, by land via the Kerem Abu Salem crossing and by air via Operation Bird of Goodness, exceeds approximately 2,102 tons during the holy month of Ramadan.
This initiative comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” to intensify humanitarian aid to support the brotherly Palestinian people in Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan.
