gradual increase
As the 2021-2022 school year progressed at the UABJO, together with the professional exams, the practices were allowed to be in person once more, but it was last Friday when this Faculty officially began to receive students in classrooms, with a no more than 15 people per group.
“The activities in a hybrid, virtual and face-to-face manner took place from April 1, we have all the practices of the basic subjects and gradually other subjects have been incorporated,” explains the director of the Faculty of Medicine, Luis Manuel Sánchez Navarro, who estimates that as of April 17, the number of teachers who join will increase.
Among the theoretical subjects that are beginning to be organized to be taken in person is that of research methodology and statistics taught by Dr. Sheila Aguilar Jiménez.
As a teacher, she admits that it was possible to have some comfort when teaching a class speaking to a computer camera, but that virtuality cut the bond between the students to verify if they really learn.
“From the screen it is impossible to see the faces of my 31 students. The only way to move how they move their face and mouth, one already knows if they know or not, that is one of the inconveniences”, recognizes a teacher who calculates that until the next school year it will be possible to resume face-to-face attendance at one hundred percent of the classes.
