On the afternoon of February 14, coach Hoang Anh Tuan decided to summon 5 more players with V-League experience to the U20 Vietnam squad. Accordingly, 5 additional faces are added: Ho Van Cuong, Dinh Xuan Tien, Tran Nam Hai (SLNA), Nguyen Phi Hoang (Da Nang) and Bui Vi Hao (Binh Duong). These 5 players will gather late with U20 Vietnam after the fourth round of V-League 2023 ends on February 19, 2023.
Besides, Khuat Van Khang will also gather with the team right after the match Viettel FC against Hanoi Police Club tonight (February 14). The eliminated players include Huynh Tran Bao Duy, Tran Ngoc Son, Dao Van Chuong and Nguyen Anh Tu.
Assessing the results of the domestic training session, coach Hoang Anh Tuan said: “The team has carefully prepared for the upcoming finals. Although there are still some unsatisfactory points, I am also reassured because the past two weeks, the lesson plan for the players is very heavy and the whole team has shown a lot of effort.”
According to the plan, the U20 Vietnam team will leave for the UAE at dawn on February 15. It is expected that teachers and coaches Hoang Anh Tuan will have two more friendly matches with U20 Saudi Arabia (February 18) and Dubai FC (February 23) before moving to Uzbekistan.
