U.S. government relocates embassy in Ukraine for security reasons-related party-Bloomberg

The US government will once move all personnel of the Embassy of Japan and the State Department to Poland. Measures following President Putin’s signing of a presidential decree approving the two eastern states of Ukraine, where pro-Russian militants had declared independence.

The United States has ordered a temporary relocation for security reasons, a person familiar with the matter said on condition of anonymity. Biden officials plan to return personnel to Ukraine on the morning of the 22nd if there is no Russian invasion of Ukraine.

A spokesman for the US State Department and the National Security Council (NSC) both declined to comment. Russia has denied the intention of the invasion.

Prior to this, the embassy in Ukraine had moved from the capital Kiev to Lviv in the western part of the country.
