Catholic University lost to Sao Paulo for the first leg of the round of 16 South American Cup at the San Carlos de Apoquindo Stadium. The goals of the ‘Tricolo’ team were the work of Reilando (15′ penalty), Luciano (28′ and 39′) and Jonathan Calleri (63′), while Fernando Zampedri (47′) and Diego Valencia scored for the Chilean team (85′).
It is worth mentioning that Sao Paulo finished the match with three players less following the expulsions of Igor Vinícius, Rodrigo Nestor and Calleri himself.
The rematch will be played next Thursday, July 7, from 7:30 p.m. (local time), at the Maracana Stadium.
