Tyson Chandler signs with the Los Angeles Lakers
The Angels Moritz Wagner has new competition. The Los Angeles Lakers have signed veteran Tyson Chandler. The Phoenix Suns only parted ways with the 36-year-old center on Monday.
Moritz Wagner (21) had new competition with the Los Angeles Lakers before his debut in the North American professional basketball league NBA. The Californians secured the services of veteran Tyson Chandler, 2011 champion with the Dallas Mavericks alongside Dirk Nowitzki and 2012 Olympic champion with Team USA.
The Phoenix Suns parted ways with the 36-year-old over the weekend, and LA took action on Monday (local time). Chandler should be used as the second center behind JaVale McGee and help the team around superstar LeBron James, who started weakly, especially on defense and rebound.
The Berlin Wagner, drafted by the Lakers in position 25 in the summer, has not yet played an NBA game. After injury problems, the center was last part of the squad, but was not used.
