Local Woman Settles Dispute Over Property Access
A Tyrone woman has successfully resolved a long-standing dispute with her neighbor over access to a shared driveway. Kathleen Josephine Devine, a resident of 27 Moneycanon Road in Dunamanagh, Strabane, had been embroiled in a disagreement with her neighbor regarding the use of the driveway for several months.
” “It’s been a stressful situation,” Devine stated, explaining the difficulties she faced. “I haven’t been able to properly access my own property due to the blockage.”
The dispute centered around a narrow driveway that provided access to both properties. Devine claimed that her neighbor had been obstructing the driveway, making it impossible for her to use it.
“I just want to be able to easily get in and out of my own home,” she stressed. “It’s a basic right, and it’s something I’ve been denied for far too long.”
After months of negotiation and mediation attempts, the two parties reached a compromise.
“I’m relieved that we’ve finally “come to an agreement,” Devine said. “It’s been a long and difficult process, but I’m glad that we could find a solution that works for both of us.”
While the specifics of the agreement were not disclosed, Devine confirmed “that it ensures her access to the driveway, allowing her to freely access her property. The resolution signals a hopeful end to a situation that had caused considerable strain and frustration.
