In addition, it started a 24-hour emergency response system, including real-time safety situation monitoring and inspection activities for major industrial and energy facilities such as nuclear power plants, electric power, oil and gas, renewable energy, and industrial complexes.

In particular, for major industrial and energy facilities in the Gyeongnam region, which are expected to have the greatest impact on the predicted path of Typhoon Hinnamno, Vice Minister Park and other officials decided to visit the site and check their preparedness for the typhoon.

Second Vice Minister Park plans to inspect the Ulsan Power Plant on the 3rd, and Cheon Young-gil, the head of the Energy Industry Office, plans to inspect the Kori Nuclear Power Plant on the 5th.

Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Lee Chang-yang gave urgent instructions to employees and related public institutions to “prepare in advance by each agency and thoroughly inspect vulnerable factors, and be prepared to respond, such as emergency recovery, in case of emergency.”

He also ordered, “Strengthen inspection of the safety conditions of power generation facilities and transmission and distribution facilities and response to damage, and strengthen safety preparations for new and renewable facilities such as solar power in mountainous areas.”
