TX Group is reorganizing in the digital sector. The media company announces in a press release that Simon Maurer will take over the reins of the new “Group IT & Shared Services” sector next November. Active at TX Group since 2016, Simon Maurer was notably responsible for the integration of acquired companies into services, the reorganization of corporate services, including the introduction of Workday and a complete digitalization of all processes. He set up and then managed the group’s nearshoring activities at TX Services in Belgrade.

Simon Maurer currently leads the Cloud ERP, Business Analytics and Procurement teams. He also exercises the functions of the Group Operations staff. In addition to leading the IT teams at group level, Simon Maurer will continue in his previous roles.

CIO of TX Group since 2017 and elected Swiss CIO of the Year 2019, Franz Bürgi will manage the IT of the subsidiary Tamedia. TX Group specifies that this reorganization aims to grant more autonomy to its subsidiary companies. He will also be a member of the management. Under his direction, Paid Media Technology (Reto Matter) and Publishing Technology Solutions (Hal Taylor) will report to him. In his new position, Franz Bürgi will report to the co-director of Tamedia, Andreas Schaffner.

“I obviously regret the departure of Franz Bürgi, who has developed our IT system remarkably over the past few years. At the same time, I am convinced that his new functions will suit him perfectly and that he will be able to take Tamedia forward”, says Sandro Macciacchini, COO of TX Group.
