Two women who were visiting prisoners in Pavón are captured

The police arrested the two women because they had an arrest warrant for aggravated robbery and extortion.

Investigators from the National Division against Criminal Development of Gangs (Dipanda) of the National Civil Police (PNC) carry out operations to identify people who They visit prisoners in prisons from Alta Verapaz, Santa Rosa, Escuintla and Guatemala.

The PNC reports the arrest of Lisbeth “N”, 23 years old, and Yesica “N”, 30, at the entrance of the Pavón Penal Farm located in the kilometer 18.7 of Fraijanes.

According to police information, Lisbeth has been wanted since June 19, 2024 for aggravated attempted robbery and Yesica since June 23 for extortion. Both orders were issued by a court in Guatemala.

The Police detail that the operations outside the prisons have the objective of seize illicit and identify persons with possible arrest warrants.

In zone 1 of Retalhuleu, agents of the General Subdirectorate of Anti-Narcotics Information Analysis (SGAIA) and prosecutors of the Public Ministry coordinated the capture of Elvis “N”, 36, for denial of financial assistance.
