As of 9 pm yesterday, there were 182,143 new confirmed cases of Corona 19 nationwide.
This is a decrease of 17,000 people from the same time period the day before.
If the number of confirmed cases counted until midnight is added, the figure to be announced today will increase, but the trend of the decrease in the number of confirmed cases is clear.
The number of people decreased by 77,89 people compared to the same time period on the 1st of last week, and 124,191 people decreased compared to the 25th of last month, two weeks ago.
Above all, the utilization rate of the infectious disease ward fell sharply.

“In March alone, there were days when the maximum number of patients was 178. But now, the number of patients is decreasing to 90. I think this is the first time.”
The utilization rate of ‘moderate’ beds, which once exceeded 70%, was 35% as of 00:00 yesterday, and the utilization rate of the living treatment center where mild patients were admitted was only 18.4%.
As the number of hospitalized patients decreased due to the decrease in the number of confirmed cases, the quarantine authorities first decided to reduce the ‘moderate’ beds in the infectious disease hospital by 30% to be used for general patient treatment.
The number of 89 life treatment centers nationwide will also be reduced in stages.

“Considering the demand for general care and the efficient use of limited medical personnel, it is necessary to reduce the number of corona beds to an appropriate level, and to shift the spare resources resulting from this to more important areas such as general care.”
With the prediction that the number will decrease to at least 110,000 in two weeks, the quarantine authorities are planning to announce a ‘post-omicron response system’ including a social distancing adjustment plan next week.
We are also considering lowering the infectious disease rating of COVID-19 from Grade 1 to Grade 2.
