German coach Jurgen Klopp made a prediction regarding the injury of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, during his team’s Premier League match once morest Brighton, on Saturday.
After a long period away from the curse of injuries, the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah came out injured from the meeting of his team Liverpool once morest Brighton, on Saturday followingnoon, in the English Premier League, which frightened many Egyptians two weeks before the Senegal match in the African qualifiers for the World Cup.
Minutes following scoring the 20th Premier League goal this season, with a penalty kick, Salah exited the match once morest Brighton injured, in the 64th minute.
It was not clear what kind of injury forced Salah to leave, but he walked out on his feet without apparent pain, which may mean a “light” injury.
Jurgen Klopp gave an update following the match, telling BT Sport: “Salah himself believes that the injury is not serious.”
But he warned: “But when you see Mohamed Salah on the ground, it means that something is not 100 percent right.”
Klopp added: “I think the injury came during the match when Salah hit the ball and it was blocked by the defense, and I think his foot stretched a little bit. We have to see.”
After the injury, Salah went to a Brighton fan, smiling, and gave him his shirt, before going out to the dressing room.
Salah contributed to Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Brighton, scoring the second goal from a penalty kick.
The Egyptian team, led by Mohamed Salah, will face its Senegalese counterpart in two playoff matches in the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, two weeks later.
