Ummini is in the second ward of Akathethara panchayath. The cubs were found in an empty house in Ummini. This is the dilapidated house of Madhavan. The house had been closed for fifteen years. The cubs were shifted to Palakkad Veterinary Hospital. Forest Department Rapid Response Force reached the spot.
According to the locals, the leopard was lying on the ground. A local named Ponnan said that he saw the leopard running away.
