Two adolescents, between 13 and 17 years old, were rescued from human trafficking, following a police operation verified that both were going to be taken to Peru illegally. And, once there, they would be forced to perform sex work.
A commission from the Investigative, Scientific, Penal and Criminalistics Corps (Cicpc) found a woman, who was in charge of capturing the victims for their subsequent transfer to Peruvian territory.
The suspect, who is around the age of 25, operated in the state of Carabobo.
Police investigations indicated that the young women were deceived through a possible job offer in Peru. But, upon arriving in Peruvian territory, they were forced to perform sex work.
The capture of the person involved occurred at the Big Low Center passenger terminal, in the municipality of San Diego, where the woman intended to board a bus bound for Táchira.
“Later they would cross into Colombian territory, until finally arriving in Peru,” said the director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico.
After the arrest, a phone was seized.
The mobile device, according to Douglas Rico, revealed “the modus operandi that it had and was placed under the order of the 20th Prosecutor’s Office of the Carabobo State Public Ministry.”
