Two suspects in possession of 111 bricks of Indian hemp in the net of the police station – MALI24

The men of Divisional Superintendent Dramane TRAORE in charge of the Kalaban-Coura Police Station grabbed two drug traffickers and seized a large quantity of narcotics during an operation carried out in a transport company this Saturday, February 25, 2023.

This operation carried out in the field with professionalism enabled the men of the Divisional Commissioner Dramane TRAORE in charge of the Kalaban-Coura Police Station to seize a large quantity of Indian hemp, ie 111 bricks of Indian hemp intended for abroad.

According to security sources, the information provided by the population and the local police implemented by the commissioner and his men have made a considerable contribution to the success of this operation on the ground with discretion, all of which demonstrates today today the fierce will of the police authorities to ensure that fear and insecurity change sides.

According to Divisional Commissioner Dramane TRAORE, in charge of the Kalan-Coura Police Station, the Research Brigade of the said police station heard of the delivery of a large quantity of Indian hemp abroad, through a company of transport located in Bamako.

This valuable information was used by the head of the Research Brigade and his elements which enabled the location and arrest of a suspect, who was preparing to transport the products hidden in a suitcase through a transportation company.

The respondent was arrested in possession of 54 bricks of Indian hemp which were seized.

Determined to shed light on this case, the commitment and professionalism of the elements of the Research Brigade of the Kalan-Coura police station ended up paying off, with the key to the arrest of a second suspect in the same transport company, in possession of 57 bricks of Indian hemp.

Taken to the premises of the Kalaban-coura police station, the two suspects, during their interrogations, acknowledged the facts and affirmed that these products were intended for sale abroad.

This arrest was an opportunity for the Divisional Commissioner Dramane TRAORE, in charge of the Kalan-Coura Police Station, to urge the population to be more vigilant and more collaborative in order to fight against crime in all its forms.

Note that these two suspects have been made available to justice to answer for their act.
