Two stuntmen try to exchange their planes in mid-flight: one of them escapes a tragedy (VIDEO)

In partnership with the energy drink brand Red Bull, Luke Aikins and Andy Farrington attempted to achieve the first “plane swap” in history. Mean by that an exchange of planes in full flight.

Suffice to say that the risk-taking was maximum.

Aboard two Cessna 192s, the two Americans thus flew over a plain in Arizona, in the United States, to try to achieve this perilous figure.

When it was time to jump off for both pilots, everything went well for Luke Aikins who managed to reach the other plane and bring it to a soft landing. On the other hand, the situation quickly became complicated for his sidekick who found himself faced with a major problem: the vehicle went into a spin and was therefore out of reach.

Fortunately, more fear than harm for Andy Arrington who nevertheless managed to open his parachute and reach the mainland.

The USA Today newspaper has also contacted the American administration in charge of aviation (FAA) on this matter. The latter claimed that no authorization had been issued for this stunt. An investigation has been opened.
