Two South Americans fight to be the scorer of the 2024 Clausura Tournament of the Guatemalan League

With three days left until the end of the qualifying phase of the 2024 Clausura Tournament, two players are neck and neck in the fight to be the top scorer of the championship.

From Saturday, April 6 to Sunday, April 7, one more day of the 2024 Clausura Tournament will be played. It will be date 14 and then there will only be two more games left for the qualifying phase to be completed.

Throughout 13 dates there are two players who stand out above the rest. One is the goal man from Cobán Imperial, the Uruguayan Diego Casas and the other is the Argentine Matías Rotondi from Municipal.

It was precisely in that duel between Municipal and Cobán Imperial at the El Trébol stadium on March 28 that Matías Rotondi scored his seventh goal in the championship and tied Casas at the top of the top scorers.

Their goals are shared against Guastatoya (two), Antigua GFC (two), Achuapa, Mixco and Cobán.

Outside of the two of them, Nicolás Mazzola and Tomás Pizarro, both from Xinabajul, have 5 goals each.
