The Double Dragon saga made an impressive return to life with the launch of Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons, a classic beat ’em up that left us spellbound, but it seems the story of Billy’s return and Jimmy Lee will not be limited to this single episode, since we will soon have access to other IP games for the first time on Microsoft’s consoles.

The additions will be made by Arc System Works which has decided to try its luck with Double Dragon Advance and Super Double Dragon, two titles that we will be able to enjoy on Xbox from November 9 and whose original versions are very difficult to find these days. in thrift stores or online without paying an exorbitant price.

Double Dragon Advance is a remake of the original 1987 title and is for many fans the best version of the arcade game, which is also considered one of the hardest games to find for the Game Boy Advance today in due to the low production of cartridges he had. On the other hand, Super Double Dragon is a Super Nintendo exclusive released in 1992 and was the last game produced by the original development team, Technos, a label that went bankrupt.

The games will arrive exclusively in digital format, although the Nintendo Switch would indeed receive a physical edition containing the other IP games. This might give a glimmer of hope that, depending on sales on this platform, we might eventually get a limited physical edition.
