Both officials were arrested for the murder of a 23-year-old woman who lived in Caracas.
Two officials of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) were captured for the murder of 23-year-old Jairelys Betania González Colina, the Cicpc reported on Instagram.
The agents arrested for this act are brothers and are registered as personnel attached to the security force.
The homicide occurred on October 18 of last year, when the victim was in the Third Plan of La Pedrera, Antímano, Caracas, where they played lottery.
That day, the officials, along with another woman who was a relative of theirs, were accused of appropriating a “little animal” ticket, which had been bought by the victim.
The deceased claimed, at the time, the ticket. She then received a beating by the trio and she had to be taken to the Miguel Ángel Rangel hospital located in Coche, where she died on January 21.
The autopsy found that he died of “severe cerebral edema due to intracranial hemorrhage from severe head trauma.”
Some time later, one of the players was arrested, while the PNB imprisoned the two agents when they tried to flee when they learned that the victim had died.
