Two pedestrians seriously injured in Montreal

Two pedestrians were seriously injured after being hit by a car, early Saturday morning, at the intersection of Beaubien Ouest and Clark streets, in the Mile-Ex district, in Montreal.

Around 4:05 a.m., the police received a call about a conflict.

“According to the first information we have obtained so far, there was a collision between a vehicle and two pedestrians, possibly during a conflict,” explained the spokesperson for the Montreal Police Department ( SPVM) Véronique Comtois.

The two pedestrians were transported to a hospital.

One of them, aged 36, is in critical condition, according to the SPVM spokesperson.

The second, aged 38, is out of danger.

The driver, also in his thirties, was transported to an investigation center where he will be met by investigators.

“It is our investigators from the collision investigation section who will come on site, who will analyze the scene, who will really try to understand the circumstances of the event and who will also meet the driver,” says Ms. Comtois.
