Two MLS clubs go after a Greens defender

Tipped to leave this winter, a central defender from ASSE has two touches in MLS but also in Turkey and Russia.

It is not a surprise : Mickael Nade is looking for a way out this winter. The ASSE central defender is having a hard time regaining his level of play from last season, which allowed him to play 30 of the 38 Ligue 1 games. Since his club’s relegation, it’s also been the fall for him: 11 small games, 8 appointments under the leadership of Laurent Batlles, the coach of the professional group.

And AS Saint-Etienne begins to find colors with two successes in the last two meetings of Ligue 2, Mickaël Nadé still has 11 days to find a new challenge. The possibility that he remains cannot be ruled out, but given the large number of suitors, a departure is more relevant. An offer was made last November by the Charlotte FCMLS club: then refused by the Greens. But Nadé still has a choice.

ASSE Mercato: New York City and Charlotte FC do not let go of Mickaël Nadé

Despite a first proposal refused, with Charlotte FC is insistent on Mickaël Nadé. According to information from PeopleGreen, the American franchise would still be among the player’s potential destinations. Another MLS resident, le New York City FC would also be in the running to secure his services. However, no offer has yet been made by this second club which won the Campeones Cup last September.

The Turkish and Russian suitors have not been identified according to the same source, which adds that Nade might leave given his position in the hierarchy of defenders. The 23-year-old owner finds himself behind an ex-undesirable, Saïdou Sow which was however close to a departure in Le Havre several more weeks ago. It remains to be seen whether Laurent Batlles intends to convince him to stay, but this possibility seems very remote.
