Tailor-made apps

On iPhone, when connecting the small accessory, a message invites us to download the Røde Central and Røde Reporter applications. This done, another notification offers us to update the firmware of the Røde Wireless Go, another product… Technical sheet.

No problem then to connect two lavalier type microphones. In the Røde Central app, it is even possible to adjust the gain of the two microphones individually and to check the level using a mini-jack headset and adjust the volume. High pass filters can also be selected at 75 or 150 Hz. Not bad.

Hassle-free audio creation

Finally, the Røde Reporter application allows you to create small podcasts with a pause function and the possibility of renaming your recordings. Different audio qualities are offered. It is thus possible to record in Wave or in a compressed mp3 format in 128, 256 or 320 kbps.

Finally, it should be noted that the channel separation settings chosen in Røde central are taken over by default when recording a video sequence with the native application of your smartphone. In short, a nice little accessory that it is also possible to use as a director on his laptop…
