Two Men Arrested Over ‘Brutal and Senseless’ Murder of Woman in Co Down

Brutal Murder Rocks Banbridge Community

Tragedy has struck the town of ‍Banbridge, County Down, with the brutal murder of 40-year-old‌ Karen Cummings ⁢on ‍the evening of Saturday, December ⁤14th.⁤ Police were ​called to a house in the Laurel Heights area around ‌6:30 pm, where they discovered ⁣ms.Cummings unconscious‌ with ‍a serious head injury. Despite immediate medical attention from ​paramedics, she was pronounced dead a short time later. ⁣

Two men have‌ been arrested in‍ connection with the‍ examination. A 42-year-old man was apprehended at⁤ the scene on suspicion of murder and remains ⁤in custody. A⁢ second man, in his thirties, was ‍arrested ⁣in the⁢ local area on Sunday⁣ on suspicion ⁢of murder and⁢ is ⁤also in ⁤custody.
