Two girls were admitted to the hospital on the Eastern Coast of the Lake, in Zulia, following presenting symptoms of intoxication, which is presumed to have occurred following ingesting imported chewing gum.
El Diario 2001 reported that the information was released through social networks, one of the victims is one year old and the other three.
Both consumed the treats and following that, they presented vomiting, fever and diarrhea.
The representatives noted that following ingesting the “bubble gum” there was a deterioration in health. The product is imported from Ecuador, according to what was read on the packaging.
“The incident occurred in the Bachaquero community, Valmore Rodríguez municipality.
The local police visited each business to remove the popular “Agogó” sweets from the market, until it is determined what happened and what caused the intoxication, “they indicated.
Local media specified that the girls received medical attention and presented an improvement.
