As the Austrian Seismological Service (Geosphere Austria) announced on Thursday night, the second earthquake at 1:42 a.m. near Waidring (Kitzbühel district) had a significantly higher magnitude of 3.3. Some people were shocked. The shock was clearly perceived as shaking and rocking. The first quake at 10:37 p.m. had a magnitude of 2.2.

No information was given regarding possible damage from the second quake. It was said regarding the first quake that some people felt it clearly in the area of ​​the epicenter around six kilometers southwest of Waidring and perceived it as rumbling in the ground. There was no known damage to buildings and would not be expected in an earthquake of this magnitude, it was said following the first quake.
