New year, Big Wins: Donegal Players Scoop €100,000 in Millionaire Raffle
Two lucky ticket holders from Donegal are starting 2025 off with a bang, each pocketing a cool €100,000 thanks to the National LotteryS Millionaire Raffle.
The winning tickets were purchased in Ardara and Letterkenny, adding to the festive cheer in both towns.Along with the Donegal winners, another four players from Cork, Kerry, and Kildare also secured the €100,000 prize, while one lucky Meath resident took home the top prize of €1 million.
This New year’s Eve draw saw a whopping 8,500 prizes awarded, ranging from €500 to the life-changing €1 million jackpot. The National Lottery is urging all players to double-check their raffle numbers to see if they’ve rung in the New Year with a win.
“We are appealing to all our players who had a ticket for last night’s New Year’s Eve Millionaire Raffle draw to check their tickets carefully today,” said emma Monaghan, a spokesperson for the National Lottery.
Monaghan continued, “If you were one of the biggest winners of the night who won the €1 million and €100,000 prizes, sign the back of your ticket and contact the National Lottery Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [email protected] and arrangements will be made for the prize to be claimed. We saw many players welcome the New Year with windfalls. All ticket holders are encouraged to check their tickets on www.lottery.ie where they will see the full list of winning ticket numbers.”
The National Lottery plays a vital role in supporting communities across Ireland. Nearly 30 cents of every €1 spent on lottery games goes directly to Good Causes, funding initiatives in areas such as sports, youth advancement, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language.
Since its inception 37 years ago, the National Lottery has raised over €6.5 billion for Good Causes. in 2023 alone, a staggering €227.9 million was generated to support local initiatives nationwide.
