## Double Win for Donegal in new Year’s Eve Millionaire raffle

**Archyde:** ⁢We’re joined today by Emma Monaghan,⁤ spokesperson for the National Lottery,⁤ to discuss the exciting results of the New Year’s Eve Millionaire Raffle. Emma, congratulations on ⁤another successful draw, and what a⁣ fantastic start to the year for multiple Irish players.

**Emma Monaghan:** ‌ Thank you. ⁢We’re thrilled to see so many winners ⁤across the country. It’s always especially ⁣joyous to ⁢witness life-changing wins on the first day of a new year.

**Archyde:** Absolutely! Two very lucky individuals in⁣ donegal are each €100,000 richer thanks to winning tickets ⁣purchased in Ardara⁢ and Letterkenny. How does it feel ⁤to see such ⁤significant wins in local communities?

**Emma Monaghan:** It’s simply marvelous. We know these wins will have a profound impact on the lives of these winners and their families. It’s a reminder of the positive difference the National‍ Lottery can make.

**Archyde:** Indeed.⁤ In total, eight players across the country secured big wins, with one very lucky person in Meath taking home the €1 million top prize. Can you tell us a bit about what happens next for these ⁣winners?

**Emma Monaghan:** Our primary ⁣message is for all players to check their tickets carefully!⁣ It only‌ takes a‌ moment, and you ⁤could be holding a winning ticket. The winners of the larger prizes should sign the back ‌of their tickets and contact our Claims team to arrange for their prizes to be claimed.

**Archyde:** That’s great advice. Now, besides the thrill of individual wins, the National‌ Lottery also ‌plays⁢ a crucial role in supporting communities nationwide.

**Emma Monaghan:** That’s right. Nearly 30 cents of every €1 spent on lottery ‌games goes directly to Good Causes, funding a wide range of initiatives across Ireland. From sports and ‍youth progress to health, education, ‌and the arts, these funds make a real difference in people’s lives.

**Archyde:** It’s wonderful to see such a significant portion of lottery proceeds directly benefiting Irish communities. Emma, do you think winning large sums so publicly, as seen with lotteries, can have both positive and potentially negative implications for winners’ lives?

**Emma Monaghan:** That’s a thoughtful ‌question. While winning the lottery can⁣ be a life-changing experience, it’s important for winners to access support and guidance to navigate this new chapter ⁢responsibly.

**Archyde:** Thank you for your insights, Emma.
